On the outskirts of the small fishing town bordering the Atlantic Ocean, The Beach Camp, located inside the reserve is home to one of the most unique eco-friendly beach camp sites. Four wood planked A-frame tents sit right on the beach and are all fitted with comfortable beds for two. Also available are six twin tents with single beds, and an area for visitors who just want to pitch their own tent. The camp has no electricity on the property, and doesn't allow any electronic music (as per the reserves rules), but has everything you could possibly need to cook up a delish ocean-side meal in their kitchen facility equipped with pots, pans, utensils, coolers, and even a licensed bar area to grab your favorite glass of harvested South African wine (or you can bring your own bottle) to sip around the fire-pit looking out to the ocean.
The property also has heated showers, eco-friendly bathrooms for men and women, and a hand basin, but due to the nature of not running the property with any electricity, they request you bring a few items on this list like your own food (if you don't want to eat off this list), sleeping bags, fishing gear, towels, wood (or you can purchase on site), dishware, and torch or head lamp.
When you're not staring out at the sunset, swimming, or exploring the beach, there are many other activities to do, just some listed below:
1. Guided horse back riding
2. Guided sea-kayak trails
4. Bird watching
5. Wild flower trails (July-August)
6. Star gazing
7. Explore the granite rock formations and sea life in the rock pools on the reserve
9. Guided fishing trips
10. Mountain biking
11. Sleep at Chill Cove in a hammock
