It's Time for Your Cozy Autumn Home

Fall is officially a few days way! You can sense it in the air ~ cool crisp breezes, shorter days with sunlight, trees changing colors, and of course all the stores carrying Halloween and even Christmas decorations. I absolutely love a cozy home during the fall. It's all about the dark woods and hues of browns arranged with the traditional orange pumpkins, as well as yellows, purples, reds, and creams with a touch of white here and there.
Fall is the perfect time to stock up on scented candles: pumpkin, cinnamon, and fresh water.
I love the fall color mixes in this outdoor porch. It's a little over crowded for my taste, but still a good set up.
Time for new fall flowers to start blooming in our gardens!
Wood tables and furnishings are a natural finish to any fall interior. Just add pumpkins and leaf arrangements on top, and spread a rug underneath the table for a more contrast.
Everyone should love apples in the fall time! so many great treats you can create with them. Apple pie anyone?
And so the task of bagging leafs is here to stay with us for a few months...
This front porch arrangement is one of my favorites. Using large and small pumpkins along side crates of orange and yellow mum flowers. The scarecrow is a nice touch too.
What a great DIY welcome piece for the front yard!
One of the best things about fall is you can open all the windows in the house and let the cool air rush throughout the rooms.
Time to get out in the garden and do a few things to prepare for fall's arrival! Pulling weeds and laying down new mulch mainly...
Love this wreath!
Evergreen trees and shrubs are great to have now that winter is next on the list.
Fresh carrots harvested from a backyard garden are a healthy fall snack and cost nothing but your time to plant. I really need to start one of those in my backyard...
Lastly, a bit of fun things to make sure to take advantage of this fall season with family and friends :)
